Overview of the Ecuador LigaPro
The Ecuadorian Serie A, commonly known as LigaPro, is the top professional football league in Ecuador. The league consists of 16 teams, with the season running from February to December. The league uses a round-robin format, with each team playing 30 matches. The team with the most points at the end of the season is crowned the champion, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the Serie B.
Criteria for selecting the top five managers
Selecting the top five managers was not an easy task, as there have been numerous successful managers in the league. We based our selection on three criteria:
1. Trophies won: The number of titles won by each manager during their time in LigaPro.
2. Consistency: The ability of the manager to consistently achieve good results and maintain a high level of performance.
3. Impact on the team: The extent to which the manager transformed the team's playing style and improved their overall performance.
Manager 1: Gustavo Quinteros
Gustavo Quinteros is a former Argentine footballer who has enjoyed a successful career as a manager in Ecuador. He managed a number of teams in LigaPro, including Emelec, LDU Quito, and Barcelona SC. Quinteros is known for his attacking style of play, which focuses on quick passing and pressing high up the pitch.
Quinteros won two LigaPro titles during his time in Ecuador, both with Emelec in 2013 and 2014.
